Fashion Show

 So as you may or may not know - I am a fashion designer.

I graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in Manhattan with a degree in Fashion Design and am now pursuing a degree in Business Management - Marketing from Brigham Young University (BYU). This year some students are putting on a fashion show with 13 BYU student designers and over 80 models. I am one of the designers in the show and I will be showcasing 9 looks.

Where: BYU Wilkinson Center Ballroom Provo, Utah
When: Saturday, February 9 - NEXT SATURDAY!!
Time: 2 shows - 4 pm and 8 pm

It is FREE! If you are a BYU student bring your ID. If not - you'll still be able to get in. There will be a meet and greet after each show.

Taylor has to wear business casual everyday for work (slacks and button-up) so I LOVE the weekends because he can actually wear his cute clothes! He got this vest and sweater for Christmas. I gave him the Timex last year for his birthday (apparently watches are a birthday theme).

It snowed practically all day straight yesterday. 

This called for:

3 layers on top

some sparkle

my trusty sperry winter boots

bright mint and yellow

cozy hat

and

big smiles 

(I kind of love the snow)

((minus the being really cold part and having limited outfit options because of lack of shoes that I see fit to wear in the snow))

so I guess love the look/idea of snow.

This morning I woke up to more and more snow - big pretty flakes!
(good news: my business law professor cancelled class because of it - I kind of just wish life would get cancelled on days like this so Taylor and I could just cuddle in a blanket by a fire with hot cocoa...who am I kidding - with a day off I'd just have more time to be productive (homework/sew/plan/blog/etc.) without interruptions. But my fantasy does sound nice!)

I had a great outfit picked out for Taylor's birthday (wearing one of his favorite shirts) but since we both have so much to do he decided that he'd rather spend the day (Saturday) doing homework/to-do list stuff. So I switched outfits to something more comfortable since we'd be working all day - yet still cute enough that we could go to dinner and still look good. He loves when I wear this fur so that is kind of what I based this outfit on. One thing I am looking forward to SO much is when I am married and living with Taylor I can be comfy when we are working and then easily change into a cute outfit for dinner - then back to comfy. That'll be nice.

One Sweater: 2 Looks

My sister and I love a lot of the same pieces but we always put things together so differently. It's always fun to see what the other comes up with. We share lots of our clothes. For instance; the heart sweater is Bain's, the level 99 purple pants are mine, and the necklace I'm wearing is Bain's. It works out nicely.
